Tungsten Wedding Bands - Why we started to look

Why you ask? Well, it is a kind of a funny little story that led to reflection on the bands of tungsten in the first place.

One night about a month ago, my wife and I were in the kitchen when we were chatting received a call of two doors of our northern neighbor. He wanted to know if we had access to a metal detector. It turns out that our neighbor just wash his hands (soap and water) and outside to throw the ball to their dog. On the first launch its Tungsten Wedding Band would fly from her finger and back (or over the fence).

Our son and daughter were playing with their children when all this took place. Our daughter said that the next grandmother and grandfather had a metal detector. Funny, is that it was true. My parents still had the old Radio Shack metal detector that my brother had when we were small. We told the neighbor what it was and is so old it probably does not work. WRONG! Our daughter was quick to correct us in the background on the phone. Apparently, she and her brother were playing with grandfather with the week before.

Fast forward a few days. We got the metal detector with my parents and let the neighbor went to the city looking for him. He spent three hours in the heat and humidity of a hot August day in Missouri. Unfortunately, no luck. I am not sure that is all that metal in the backyard.

This prompted my wife and me to try whether Tungsten Bands would be detectable by a metal detector in the first place. After searching and research we have never really found an answer to our question. (Please leave a comment to this article if you know the answer).

However, during our research, we started looking at these beautiful Tungsten Rings. The more we looked for information on the metal detector over the question we started to think about what they were beautiful rings. I come from us is that the discussion had been to replace our own alliances or because of how they had just taken place over the years.

We learned a ton of info on Tungsten Wedding Rings. Did you know that the best of them are not only made of tungsten? For more durable Tungsten ring that you really need to make sure it is made of tungsten carbide. This alloy provides extreme hardness - 8.5 -9 on the hardness scale Mohs (Diamonds are 10). It also makes these rings very resistant to scratches.

This incredible strength of tungsten makes it particularly suitable for rings everyday wear and tear. Whether you work in the office or in the garage rebuilding an engine, you would be hard to mess these rings. They keep their luster and shine for ever.

One question that kept coming up that we have done our research was about the ability of these rings to be cut in an emergency. It turns out that all hospitals and emergency teams have the tools necessary to reduce or break a ring of tungsten. Of course, they are extremely difficult, but these professionals have the know-how. One site even gave detailed instructions on how you can use a pair of every day of the vice-grip pliers to actually break the ring at home. It seemed plausible. However, I would like to see it done in real life.

On the whole, it seems that Tungsten Bands to fit the bill durable, masculine, very polite to replace our old bands. They should also make a good choice for someone to get their first wedding bands. They certainly sound like they would last a lifetime.

Oh, you're probably still wonder what happened to the Tungsten Ring neighbor, right? Well, I have mixed news. The bad news is that he has not found yet. The good news is that he has insurance which covers the cost of replacement.

I said "ya, know the best way to find the ring that you lost is to go ahead and spend money to get a new one." Would not it be funny if the lost ring shown in court the next day.
